Simplicity In Christ

 I Corinthians 11:3

"But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve

through his subtilty,

So your minds should be corrupted from

The simplicity that is in Christ."

Paul is writing this letter to the Corinthians out of love for them. He has helped them come to Christ but now false teachers are trying to lead them astray. Paul knows that the world and all it’s holds take away and distract us from the simplicity we find in Christ.

We cannot stay pure and unspotted for Christ if we leave the simplicity of him and live in the world, like the world.

But it’s tricky. Just as Eve was deceived, we can be deceived and beguiled in this world.
