If you were here with me yesterday this is what you would have done or at least observed.

Rise and pack husband’s lunch.
Feed cat.
Kiss husband goodbye.
Cover up in blanket on couch and watch todays weather, because it’s cold right now.
Let yourself fall asleep because it was a crazy weekend and you’re “draggy” and no one wants a weakened immune system.
Wake up again.
Consider starting a fire, but decided not to because you’ll be leaving anyway.
Start the load of blankets in the washer, turn the tea kettle on for a cup of chai while you read.
Spend time on devotions.
Decide to eat a light breakfast because it’s late and you may-as-well eat lunch before leaving for the grocery store.
So you munch on a homemade granola bar while you meal plan and write your grocery list.
Get a shower, because you think it’s warm enough now.
Play piano for a minute because you feel like it.
Hang blankets on the rail outside to dry.
Sort out a white load to go in later.
Eat an egg salad sandwich and look at a magazine.
Pack yourself in the car and head to Goodwill, there was a dress there you saw the other day but didn’t have enough cash on you so you hid it in the rack in hopes that it would still be there.
Talk to Husband on lunch break and make plans for after supper.
Dress was still there and you found another one, plus a Kim Vogel Sawyer book you didn’t have, a cute children’s book, and a quart Rubbermaid liquid container for creamer or salad dressing.
Head to Just Save, then Foodlion, and last stop Walmart. You managed to stay under budget and you feel like you brought home a lot of food.
Check the mailbox on the way in, no mail. You notice the gate isn’t working and it’s beeping.
You unload the groceries and put everything away, turn the washer on with a load of towels (before the whites), and open the doors because it feels stuffy in the house.
Start to get annoyed because the beeping gate is loud and obnoxious, and it can be heard in the house eve with the doors closed.
Dig out the sewing machine to work on some Christmas presents. Cut fabric with rotary cutter and again wonder where it’s been all your life.
Pour a cup of iced chai left from Saturday and dig out a brownie that’s starting to get dry.
Start the lentils for supper since you are working in the kitchen anyway and then supper will be done.
Finish what you wanted to accomplish for the present, and supper is finished.
Husband calls and says he is on the way home.
You settle in with the phone to check blogs and pinterest.
Husband comes home, you make coffee and heat up cornbread.
Eat supper, clean up kitchen.
Get in jeep and head to Ollie’s in Raleigh to look for a mattress because your’s is causing back pain for Working Man.
Ollie’s doesn’t have what you want but they do have the hamper-like basket you wanted for kindling and paper by the fireplace. You head back home.
Come home, change clothes. Look at the Lard cookbook you have from the library because it has to go back tomorrow.
Eat the last Dove dark chocolate popsicle while you read your Farmer Joel book in bed.
Turn out the light around 10:40. Husband is already dozed off but then waked up and you talk about the things you just learned from Farmer Joel Salatin.
